Face to Face Exhibition Launch Event
Join us on Wednesday 7th March 2018 from 3pm – 6pm for the Face to Face Launch event at The Coffee Shop.
Face to Face is a group exhibition of textiles and mixed media portraits created by students on creative courses with WEA and Peter Bedford Housing Association.
The array of exciting artwork on show is the outcome of 4 different weekly art and craft classes in PBHA: The Workshop on Geffrye Street in Hackney. Each course, in Textiles, Painting, Drawing and Print Making. It seeks to educate and support students in gaining new experiences and developing their personal potential. Community engagement, health and wellbeing lie at the centre of all of our activities.
This exhibition is an opportunity for students to publicly showcase their achievements in our creative courses, and gain experience of curating as a team.
The one-off artwork is available for sale to further develop students pride and confidence. Also to generate income for individual students, and a small commission to support ongoing learning programmes at PBHA.
