PBHA is a housing charity that creates positive change in people’s lives. As well as homes and support, we empower people to learn, access work and discover their creative talents. Based mainly in Hackney and Islington, we work with people who are homeless, have mental ill health, learning difficulties and multiple needs. Our work enables people to move on and lead independent lives.

We are now looking for a keen individual to join the housing team, who will assist in the delivery of a housing management service that enables full recovery of rental income, reduces anti-social behaviour and enables all tenants to sustain their tenancy and take steps to avoid tenancy enforcement action where possible. The role primarily provides administrative assistance, and also entails client contact letter, phone and face to face appointments.

Peter Bedford Housing Association is funded to provide Intermediate Labour Market (ILM) jobs by The Big Lottery and The European Social Fund. The programme is aimed at those people who have a disability or long term health condition which has made finding steady work challenging. An ILM position is a temporary job where you will receive intensive on the job support to transition into permanent work. You will be supported to manage your time, develop resilience and the confidence to perform the job tasks effectively. Throughout your paid employment with PBHA you will be given the support to apply for more permanent work and to approach this with confidence.
