Living and Gaining Qualifications at Peter Bedford

I am a tenant and through Peter Bedford I have gained a number of qualifications, including a Food Hygiene certificate. In 2009 I enrolled on an Adult Literacy course with customer service work experience.

I was quiet at first, but after a while I contributed more and more to the class. I impressed everyone with my knowledge on health and safety in the kitchen. In 2010 I took and passed my Adult Literacy Reading & Writing and Speaking & Listening entry level qualifications. And it doesn’t stop there! I helped plan the Peter Bedford Gay Pride celebration and also took part in the London event.

I even joined Peter Bedford’s entry in the Hackney One Carnival Parade by dressing up and performing some Bollywood dance moves.
