Work experience in our enterprises

PBHA’s enterprises are central to our ‘whole-person’ approach to supporting tenants and participants.

They create opportunities for work placements, training, volunteering and skills development, as well as welcoming spaces where you can interact and learn with other people.
Our enterprises are all real-world traders, giving you a genuine incentive to succeed and to work effectively with customers, while building the skills and experience that will help you to achieve greater independence.

We can offer you experience in:

Hospitality: working in The Coffee Shop to gain skills and qualifications in Food Safety, Barista Skills and Customer Service.
Creative Industries: learn to produce textiles, art, design and joinery in The Workshop and make pieces to sell in Outpost
Retail: gain retail experience working in Outpost, our shop and gallery. You can also work towards qualifications in retail skills (NVQ), work experience certificate and literacy and customer service qualifications
Administration: Learn office skills through placements on our Reception at The Kingsland Hub, where you can also help to manage internal and external hire of events spaces
