Working at Peter Bedford Housing Association

We recognise that our staff are our greatest asset and are committed to providing them with the support and conditions of service which enable them to carry out their jobs to the highest standards.

We employ approximately 65 staff in a wide variety of jobs, including housing support, workschemes, community services, training, property maintenance, finance and administration. Staff work from our two central London offices in Highbury and Dalston. Being a diverse workforce means we are in a better position to meet the needs of our diverse client group. We offer:

Volunteering at Peter Bedford

Peter Bedford is a diverse organisation and the numerous activities and projects that we run reflects this. We are always looking for enthusiastic, positive and supportive people to help with the running of these vital projects. We know that the right volunteers are key to making the projects and activities a success with our tenants and participants. Volunteers also gain a lot from the experience as well.

Projects & Activities

Peter Bedford runs numerous projects and activities, some of which are delivered in conjunction with the support of other organisations and funders. These include; Radar, Hillside Clubhouse, Groundworks, European Social Fund (ESF) and EcoMinds. Our most recent, and most successful, projects include: Roots and Boots Project (see image above of group members), Health by Stealth and Working Futures Project.
We also set up and run activities in response to the needs of and recommendations from our tenants and participants. To name but a few, these include the Walking Group, The Art Club, The Reading Group and Healthy Baking.
